New Yoga T-Shirts
May 24, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Well, sort of anyways. You can wear them for yoga, or for just bumming around town. The new design says it all: “Tongue-in-cheek is not a yoga pose.”
You know the type, too clever by far. The type who watched way too much Black Adder when they were young. There are even words on the back of the shirt . . . at least for most of them (dark colors can’t be two-sided) . . . you just have to click on this link to see all the options, and then you can see what we put on the back. Let’s just say you do need a good sense of humor, and you might want to wear a jacket with the two-sided version of this T-shirt in more conservative settings.
Sorgitzak-Old Forest Craft Ritual
May 23, 2008 | 1 Comment
Much has been remembered, and much has been recovered. Veronica Cummer’s new book Sorgitzak–Old Forest Craft has its source and its beginning in revealed knowledge through contact with and channeled messages from many of the Gods and Goddesses of the Sorgitza, through those who have come to be called the Fey, as well as other spirits and entities. This book is a culmination of over a decade of experience, questions, answers, and research. It provides a glimpse into the world of Witches long past. It provides the first steps in understanding once again what was lost, what was found, and what never truly left us. Find out more about the book>
Experience for Yourself
On June 7th, at 7 pm, join the author, Veronica Cummer, for an introduction to this traditional European path. She will come to sign books and answer questions. Following the signing, she will lead an OPEN RITUAL for all who wish to attend and experience firsthand, the Old Forest Craft.

Get a preview of the May 28th Cedar show with Wendy Rule, Kari Tauring and Felonious Bosch by checking out this podcast just released today (May 22nd):
It’s an interview of Kari, where she performs two of the songs from her new 6-song Preview EP which is being released at the show on May 28th! We weren’t sure if they were going to be able to pull off the preview release in time for the show, but it is official.
The podcast is a nice introduction to Kari’s project, plus an overview of how the show will run . . . there’s also a bit of Felonious Bosch in the beginning, and a Wendy Rule song at the end.
There are still tickets available. $18 in advance, or $22 at the door. Call the Cedar Ticketline at 612-338-2674 ext 2 for tickets.
Also, as a reminder, the Eye will be closing early May 28th at 5 p.m., so we can all go to the show (it starts at 7:30, doors open at 7:00, seating is general admission)
Mythic Music Concert May 28th

Have you heard the tale of how this concert came together? Do you know what all the buzz is about? If you are looking for a musical journey through the Middle Ages, the Norse Sagas, or to the world of myth and back again, this is the show for you. Not only is Wendy Rule coming to Minnesota for the first time, but Kari Tauring is releasing a 6-song Preview EP of her upcoming Volva album at the concert, and Felonious Bosch is opening. It all came about because we were told that, if we could find a venue, Wendy would come.
For those of you who have never heard Wendy Rule’s spectacular voice, here are some clips of some of my favorites from her website: Artemis, Diety (an anthem of the triple goddess), and the Raven Song . . . and the Raven Song sample cuts out just when it gets good. Or, if you want to hear a full song, check out La Femme de la Mer It is a perfect example of how she likes to play with dynamics which lure you in and take you on a journey.
Rolling Stone Australia said, “Wendy Rule creates dark, sensual sonic theatre… compelling stuff.”
So you would expect someone of that caliber to be playing the State or the Orpheum, or at least 1st Ave. So what’s the deal? Why is a metaphysical store sponsoring her appearance at the Cedar? Read more
Bleeding Hearts and the Dandelion Hunter
May 19, 2008 | 1 Comment
Remember those little maroon shoots coming up with the crocus? Well, they are all grown up now. We have a beautiful trio of bleeding-heart plants simply, well, bleeding their hearts out. They are right at the entrance to the labyrinth, so you can’t miss them! That is, you can’t miss them for the next week or so, don’t delay your visit to the labyrinth this spring. Click on the thumbnails for larger pics:

We’re hoping the bleeding hearts will still be in bloom for the folks coming into town for the Wendy Rule concert on the 28th, but we’re not sure how long they’ll hang around.
I spent about an hour this morning taking dandelion heads in good Celtic fashion. Read more
Purple Path to Wisdom

It turns out that last weekend we had some visitors from Wisdom Ways. It seems we made their labyrinth tour this year. Someone called and asked if we were open, and said they were coming with some other people. Well, a couple hours later, a dozen devoted labyrinth walkers wound their way to the Eye. They were just in time to discover the new purple theme of the blooms.
Purple columbine are starting to bloom, and join the many mounds of violets which border the path in our upper garden. I brought the camera out this morning, so here’s a picture of each, plus the secret and sensual interior of a tulip.

May 2008 - is a Rose a Rose?
May 12, 2008 | Leave a Comment
When we picked Rose for the May choice, we had no idea how tough it would be. I mean, we know Merlin loves roses, because we can’t bring them home. Mmmm, they are tasty and worth any effort to get to, no matter where you put them. He doesn’t care about thorns, they are no issue. He’ll do anything to get to the nummy flower. No place is out of reach for a determined problem solver. So we envisioned he would home in on the boxes laid out before him, and it would be a lively session.
We set down one box of Keshava (Rose & Geranium) Incense and one box of Valley of Roses.

In addition to the framed pieces, fine art prints are also for sale, starting at $29.00 for individual Tarot images. Prints are also available as part of the Mythos show.
