Labyrinth
Eye of Horus is more than a metaphysical store. In 2005 we built a labyrinth in the empty space next to our store which was being used as a neighborhood dumping ground, and we have been growing a garden around it ever since.

the Labyrinth in Spring
Separated from Lyndale Ave. by a 14 ft. wall which looks like part of the storefront from the sidewalk, our secret labyrinth garden has grown into a haven for mind, body and spirit.
A wide variety of perennials have been planted around the labyrinth for year-round fragrance and beauty. For spring, there are tulips, daffodils, bleeding hearts and the occasional crocus cluster. Summer brings out the daylilies, oriental lilies, and a variety of wildflowers.
When you walk the labyrinth, it is with a focus. This focus could be a question, a problem or a situation you need clarity on. Or perhaps you are you seeking peace, inner connection, or clearing your mind of clutter. Maybe you need a moment when you re-unite with the Earth, your Spirit, or with the Divine.
See the triquetra stone in the center of the labyrinth. Yes, you do step on it. This is a piece of functional art–stained glass set in concrete which we purchased at a local art fair.

Triquetra
The Triquetra represents the ‘Power of Three’ or the threefold nature of existence i.e. body, mind and spirit; life, death and rebirth; past present and future; beginning, middle and end; Sun Moon and Earth; etc.
Many believe the Triquetra is an ancient symbol of the female trinity of Maiden, Mother and Crone; because it is composed of three interlaced yonic Vesica Pisces (Latin for “Vessel of the Fish”) which is the most basic and important construction in Sacred Geometry. Historically, Celtic Christians referred to it as the Trinity Knot, representing the male trinity, though the symbol predates the Christian era.
